Tuxedo - Juanita - Fiv+ - Small - Adult - Female - Cat
Juanita Born about 7/8/08 Juanita has one of the most adorable cat faces we've ever seen, looking as much like a miniature panda bear as she does a feline. She is a thick plushy coat. She is smaller than the average adult female. Juanita is quietly opinionated. She does get along with other cats and shares bowls and beds without squabbling. Juanita has great presence as well as great beauty. She is well aware that she is special and is seeking a someone to recognize that so she can get to a real home and be spoiled as she is entitled to be.
Juanita update. In late April 2012, Juanita tested positive for FIV, a virus that can affect a cat's immune system. The source of Juanita's infection is not known. FIV is somewhat similar to HIV in people, but does NOT always (or even often) progress to kitty AIDS -- instead, many FIV+ cats lead long, healthy lives. FIV is not easily contagious to other cats and can only be spread by blood contact or from mother to child before or shortly after birth. FIV is not contagious to dogs, people or any other animals except cats. Juanita is living with Tucker in foster care now (Tucker also tested positive for FIV). She is tolerating him but REALLY loves her human foster mom and would do fabulous as an only, treasured girl. She is petite and lives to cuddle in your lap.
